April 17 Newsletter

Howdy, neighbors!

Mount Pleasant is the place to be, but you already knew that. We are so proud of this community and love watching it grow and thrive! Here is a quick update on some events going on around town so you can make sure not to miss a thing.

First, our very first Final Friday Shop Hop was a success! We had over 500 entries and lots of shoppers. Our winner, Jamie Lyon, got the $250 cash prize. A great time was had by all, and our local businesses really felt the love. Shoutout to Dan Rolfson’s Country Financial in Mount Pleasant for being our presenting sponsor for March.

Next up: another Final Friday a week from today! April 24 from 5pm to 8pm, we’ll do it all again. You’ll have the chance to win one of TWO different prizes this time around: cash and a local Maury county gift basket provided by the wonderful, supportive folks at Experience Maury! Come Shop Hop and enjoy our local restaurants, some amazing food trucks, and the beautifully renovated downtown square.

We would also like to thank one of our latest sponsors, Heritage Bank and Trust. Not only did they become a Champion of our Foundation, but they also supported our Final Friday Series. They also ran a month long program where folks opening new accounts could choose a non-profit for the bank to donate money too. We were SO grateful to receive those funds as well and appreciate this trusted, relationship-oriented bank so much!

Thank you, Bedford Smith, for opening many new accounts and choosing us for donations! And thank you to Valerie Henson for being a trusted member of our board. Giving your time and allocating funds for us means the world, and it makes a huge difference in Mount Pleasant.

Finally, we’ll be partnering with Mount Pleasant Public Library to put on our annual Touch a Truck event in June, so keep an eye out for details. Your kids will have a blast, and you’ll be able to sign them up for the summer reading program!

Enjoy this beautiful Spring weather and have a wonderful weekend. See you soon!
